It all started with a book — HTML for Dummies. I built my first website in 1997. Back then there was no WordPress, no Google ranking algorithm to chase, and most businesses didn't even have an email address — let alone a website. I learned to code by trial and error, late nights, and a lot of broken HTML tables.

Since then, the tools have changed completely — but the job hasn't. A website still needs to do one thing: turn visitors into customers. That's the lens everything gets built through, whether it's a five-page brochure site or a full eCommerce store.

Vannquish Creative was formally set up in March 2014 with a simple principle: give West Midlands businesses an honest, affordable route to a serious online presence — without the agency mark-up, account managers, or offshore developers you never get to speak to.

When you work with Vannquish, you work with me, directly. I take the brief, design the site, write the code, and I'm the one who picks up the phone if something needs fixing six months after launch. That's not a sales pitch — it's just how I've always worked, and it's why so many clients are still with me years later.
